During the Sibos conference, Chainlink released a framework.
Banks can connect their blockchain ledgers to Swift.
The signing keys are still kept by the banks themselves.
Chainlink only handles the middle-layer process orchestration.

Swift’s network is connected to more than 11,500 institutions.
The funds that circulate every three days are roughly equal to global GDP.
The rollout is in two steps.
First, build the ledger, then connect the entry point.

The first batch of pilots involves 17 banks.
It covers six continents, including ANZ and BNP Paribas.
Tokenized deposits remain on each bank’s own ledger.
The Swift ledger only coordinates.
Settlement still goes through the existing channels.
The banks’ wallet addresses remain under their own control.

For crypto, cross-chain messaging and oracles have become a must-have.
Banks can test without having to tear down their old systems.
The value of cross-chain is that shares can move.
Once this works, revenue will follow usage and call volume.

What business do you think banks will run on-chain first? Let’s discuss in the comments.
