📰 Robinhood’s Hood Summit 2026 really brought plenty of new features: AI agents, crypto perpetual contracts, weekend stock trading, and earnings contracts—everything you can actively trade, all rolled into one.

🔥 But the market wasn’t as excited as expected. The “easter egg” for the Robinhood Chain ecosystem that everyone was hoping for didn’t show up either. Honestly, it’s not surprising that people who positioned themselves early to wait for good news couldn’t hold on until the new catalysts, and chose to take profits instead.

💡 The most interesting part of this event was the AI agents. Users can set models, trading strategies, and risk limits so the AI can analyze markets, research portfolios, and even execute trades—though it still requires manual confirmation by default. The subsequent Loops allow strategies to run continuously based on conditions, rather than just answering one question.

👀 On the other side, Robinhood is also pushing trading hours toward 24/7. Weekend stock trading still needs regulatory approval. Perpetual futures will be available via Bitstamp, for certain contracts. The product is certainly bold, but when some of these features will actually go live remains unclear.

🤔 What’s interesting is that the on-chain data for the Robinhood Chain isn’t as bad as people might have imagined: TVL has reached $10.2 billion, growing more than 42.9% over the past 30 days. DEX daily trading volume rebounded from $1.04 billion to $1.41 billion, with more than 163,000 daily active wallets—nearly half of which are new users. Who would have thought the announcement wouldn’t bring a big surprise, yet the on-chain fundamentals are slowly improving anyway. Do you think Robinhood’s products will ultimately turn into real trading volume?
