Foreign investors are financing the development of North American artificial intelligence computing infrastructure, according to Charles Wu, head of Asia-Pacific alternative investment institutional client strategy at JPMorgan. According to ChainCatcher, institutional investors from Asia and the Gulf, including foreign banks, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and insurers, are playing an important role in the sector’s expansion. Wu said AI industry capital expenditures are now close to $1 trillion.
