Launch of the first NEAR ETF fund in the US
Asset management company Bitwise has just launched the Bitwise NEAR ETF, the first spot ETF in the US that directly holds NEAR tokens. The fund is listed on the NYSE Arca exchange under ticker NRR, with a management fee of 0.75% per year.
A significant portion of NEAR in the fund will be allocated to staking, meaning locking the tokens to help operate the network and earn additional rewards.
The price of NEAR has risen by about 167% over the past month, reaching around $4.94. The main driver is the NEAR Intents tool, which makes it easier to transfer assets between blockchains, with trading volume already exceeding $32 billion.
