The giant whale’s buy order is posted below—watch $BTC ahead of tonight’s PCE.

At 20:30 tonight, core PCE will be released, and the macro variables haven’t been fully priced in yet.

Current market conditions show BTC is trading at $83,320, up 0.14% over the past 24 hours.

Price is squeezed between $82,903 and $84,558, and the overnight high at $84,557.8 is still above.

On Hyperliquid, the previous giant whale with an empty position posted a buy order of about $45.2 million, with BTC set at $79,600–$81,695 and ETH set at $2,565–$2,600.

This looks more like a support pocket beneath, not chasing longs at the current price.

Yesterday’s ETF net inflow was still about $66.2 million, but compared with last week’s peak of roughly $999 million, it’s relatively thin—so it can’t really support a one-sided narrative.

Funding rate is around +0.004%. Positions were almost flat around midday, and leverage didn’t rush in.

Upside path: if volume expands and it challenges $84,558 again, then see whether it can break out of the ranging area.

Downside path: if it first pulls back to the giant whale’s buy order and you treat $79,600–$81,695 as a liquidity pocket to observe—don’t assume it’s an iron bottom in advance.

Before the PCE lands, observe how the range plays out first—don’t turn the back-and-forth around $83,320 into a trend-breakout trade.
