NVIDIA’s proxy security platform—OpenAI hasn’t officially endorsed it, but reports say it has cooperated behind the scenes to take part in the platform’s sandbox OpenShell.
Not publicly supporting it doesn’t mean they don’t touch the technology. Building the full platform relies on NVIDIA’s proprietary Sentry and BlueField-4; however, the sandbox OpenShell can be modified to run on other chips too—Arm and Intel have signed on as well. OpenAI also has its own cybersecurity alliance, with Anthropic, AWS, and Google all joining.
The absence looks more like a competitive positioning than a disagreement over technical routes.
