Zcash’s development team is incorporating proposed upgrade Project Tachyon’s code into Zakura Common, the software already in use on the network, in preparation for future scaling.
The new component being moved in is called Udon, originally developed for Tachyon.
The team’s long-term goal is to process more than 50,000 privacy payments per second.
What’s busy is the price of ZEC; what’s quiet is this kind of engineering work—privacy-chain bottlenecks have never been about whether you can “hide” information, but whether you can still “handle” traffic while doing so.
