According to Sina Finance, industry data released on Wednesday showed that UK automobile production rebounded in August, supported by a recovery in domestic car demand, although intensifying EU trade disputes could pressure the industry's long-term outlook.

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders said UK auto output rose 5.7% in August to 40,872 vehicles. It also said more than 1 billion pounds of investment from companies including McLaren, Nissan, and Bentley was an important sign of the industry's long-term prospects.

The association reiterated concerns about the EU's proposed "Made in Europe" clause, saying excluding the UK from the policy's scope would pose a "survival threat" to Britain's auto industry. Chief Executive Mike Hawes said the UK and EU auto industries are highly integrated and urged both sides to agree on a workable solution to preserve their shared competitiveness.
