Deloitte UK said average pay for equity partners rose to about 1.13 million pounds, or $1.5 million, last year, up 7% from the previous year. According to Sina Finance, the firm said demand for artificial intelligence consulting boosted profits.

Deloitte UK reported revenue of about 5.8 billion pounds for the fiscal year ended May 31, up 2%, in a statement released on Wednesday. Chief Executive Darren Graves said AI has shifted from a “tool-level issue” to more of a change-management issue, with clients focusing on AI deployment, trust, and cybersecurity.

The firm said distributable profit rose to 899 million pounds from 789 million pounds a year earlier, an increase of 14%. Graves said clients want faster project delivery, but technology costs have kept consulting fees from falling because of AI.
