Catching Decrypt: At DevDay 2026, OpenAI rolled out more than 20 updates in one go—its headline act is Dots: an AI agent that stays online, running on its own cloud computer and browser, connecting with 4,000+ applications. Pro / Business Premium are supported.
There’s also ChatGPT Space (humans and agents collaborating in the same documents), and GPT-6.1 Sol: officially described as being close to the flagship GPT-6 Astra for programming/computer operations, with token costs about one-fifth. There’s also an Ultrafast acceleration tier, bundled with Pro 500 that costs $500/month.
The day before, they had just pulled Astra’s October release due to safety standards—cutting the flagship while pushing agents to get to work. The pace is pretty off-kilter.
