This does not mean it has already been building up momentum, nor does it indicate that buy orders will return immediately; but at least, the price stagnation has not been accompanied by a clear capital ebb. The bullish case is not based on “consolidation always leads to a rise,” but on the fact that the funds have not left in a major way.
I’m moderately bullish, but I don’t treat consolidation as a buy signal: funds not leaving doesn’t mean buying will happen right away; if the market turns warm, then it may become a force for covering.
