That night, I stared at the candlestick charts on my screen, and my fingers wouldn’t stop shaking.

Three months ago, I saw someone in a group chat recommending the coin “0G.” At the time, its price was only a few hundredths of a dollar. The older guys in the group said it was the next “100x coin.” I laughed it off and didn’t take it seriously.

Later, one day I still had about 200 USDT left in my account. I figured it wasn’t much anyway—if I lost it, I’d just lose it. So I went all-in on 0G at around $0.08.

After I bought, I closed the app and went on a business trip for a full week.

When I got back and opened the app, I nearly dropped my phone.

The 0G I bought at $0.08 had already surged to $0.25—three times. I rubbed my eyes, making sure I wasn’t seeing things. 200 USDT had turned into 600 USDT.

In that moment, my mind had two voices fighting each other. One said, “Sell quickly—take profits while you can.” The other said, “This is nowhere near it yet. Someone in the group said the target price is $1.”

I chose the latter.

Over the next month, 0G was like it had been launched on a rocket. From 0.25 to 0.30, from 0.30 to 0.35. My account grew from 600 USDT to nearly 1,000 USDT. I started checking the charts every day, refreshing the price every half hour. When I was at work I secretly checked; when I ate, I checked too. The last thing I did before sleeping was still checking.

On September 29th, 0G suddenly started crashing. From 0.35 it kept dropping, and in half an hour it fell to 0.28. People in the group started yelling, “Run!” Others said, “This is a normal pullback—don’t panic.”

I stared at the red numbers jumping on the screen, my heart pounding. 0.27… 0.26… 0.25. My profit was evaporating little by little.

In the end, at around 0.26, I sold everything. My 1,000 USDT principal turned into 520 USDT. From the peak, I missed out on nearly 400 USDT in gains.

But I don’t regret it.

Because that same night, 0G continued to fall—down to 0.22. The people who had been saying, “Don’t worry,” all went silent. The next day, when I checked again, it had already dropped to 0.19.

Lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, I let out a long breath.

Even though I didn’t sell at the very top, even though I earned far less, at least I got out alive. In this market, being able to survive is the biggest victory.

Later, that group chat dissolved. I heard the group owner also went all-in at around 0.30 with leverage—then finally got liquidated and wiped out to zero.

I transferred the remaining 520 USDT out of the exchange, bought some ETH, and stored it in a cold wallet. I stopped checking the charts. I stopped joining group chats. I stopped chasing after any 100x coins.

Some money is not meant for you to earn. If you can hold onto the profit you already have, you’ve already beaten 90% of people.
