The trials will look into:

💸 Small micropayments
🔄 Interaction of AI agents with each other
📱 Developing new services within payment apps
And the implementation trials are scheduled to run from January to June 2027. But important: this does not mean that the digital euro is officially on the table— the decision to issue it is still linked to European regulations and a subsequent decision by the European Central Bank.
