People call it $SPCX, whether you buy it on Binance or through a traditional broker—it’s absolutely not the same thing.
Many people search for $SPCX, thinking they’re getting SpaceX stock.
First, understand that on Binance there are actually three different routes—don’t mix them up:
1️⃣ Binance Stock SPCX Buy real shares through partnered brokers that trade Nasdaq true shares. You are the beneficial owner: you can receive dividends and participate in company actions. This is the closest option to what a traditional broker offers.
2️⃣ bStocks SPCXB 1:1 tokenized instruments backed by custodied real shares, BEP-20. You can withdraw to your wallet and it’s close to 24/7.
However, legally you are not a SpaceX shareholder, and generally you have no voting rights. When you meet the conditions, you may be able to exchange 1:1 with the underlying shares.
3️⃣ $SPCXUSDT Perpetuals Pure derivatives—betting on price movement, not stock. Leverage is convenient, but liquidation can happen much faster.
Compared with traditional brokers, the main differences come down to these 6 points:
• Rights: Traditional brokers = standardized shareholder/“street name” holdings that can be transferred. Binance’s stock is close to real shares, but custody sits within a partnered system, so transfers aren’t as flexible. SPCX = economic exposure, not a shareholder certificate.
• Time: Traditional US stock market hours are the main window. SPCXB/perpetuals are closer to 24/7 and can be traded on weekends too.
• Funding: Traditional routes rely on banks and tax identity. On Binance you can use USDT/USDC, with a lower minimum requirement.
• Fees: Spot on both sides isn’t too expensive; tokenization and contracts each add spreads and funding fees.
• Protection: Traditional brokers have more complete broker protections and tax reports. Binance depends on whether your location is supported and which license you’re using.
• Price: Real shares track Nasdaq, but the order book and trading hours differ—SPCXB may trade at a premium or discount. Perpetuals can also have basis.
How to choose:
If you want to hold long-term as a shareholder, vote, file taxes in a compliant way, and potentially transfer shares later → traditional broker is more suitable.
If you’re outside the US/EU and only have crypto accounts, want to use stablecoins to buy, and accept beneficial ownership → look at Binance stock SPCX.
If you want 24/7 trading and the ability to withdraw on-chain → look at $SPCXB, but don’t treat it as a shareholder certificate.
If you only do short-term leverage → perpetuals; that’s not “buying stocks.”
They all have the name SPCX, but the rights and risks are far apart.
Whether you can use it, the tax rate, and whether it’s available to you depend on your region and the platform’s rules at the time.
