#BitgetHackerFailsToMoveStolenFunds

NEAR blocked attempts to transfer more than $50 million stolen in the Bitget hack and froze another $503,000.

NEAR Intents says its compliance and security systems blocked attempts to transfer more than $50 million in stolen assets to Bitget, while approximately another $503,000 that had entered its infrastructure was later frozen.

The intervention came after the September 24 attack on Bitget, which, according to estimates by the exchange platform, affected assets worth $387.5 million across multiple blockchain networks.

NEAR Intents reported that, after the security breach, the attacker-associated addresses attempted to route the stolen funds through its cross-chain liquidity infrastructure. Its automated detection systems identified and rejected transactions totaling more than $50 million before the assets could enter Intents' liquidity network.
