Ethereum finality still takes minutes. Puffer has configured its system for 50-millisecond preconfirmations, promising a transaction result before the chain settles it. That speed has not been established with paying customers.

Google Cloud would operate a gateway. Puffer says a failed promise would cost a gateway 1 ETH, but has not established when that penalty becomes enforceable or how affected users would be compensated.
