BitMine’s Ethereum Holdings Surpass 6 Million Coins: 4.9% of Circulating Supply, One Step Away from 5%

BitMine Immersion (NYSE: BMNR) disclosed that, as of 15:00 on September 27 (U.S. Eastern Time), the company held 6,001,302 $ETH . Based on Coinbase pricing at $2,698, it also has 213 bitcoins, $672 million in cash and marketable securities. With crypto assets plus cash totaling approximately $17.2 billion. The ETH position is about 4.9% of the supply of 122.1 million coins, only about 0.1 percentage point away from the “Alchemy of 5%” proposed by Chairman Tom Lee.

Structure matters more than quantity. Around 5.067 million coins have been staked, accounting for 84% of the holdings. Based on an annualized estimate of about 2.62% over the past week, the staking revenue is approximately $358 million. The company also bought another 17,400 coins in the past week. Since June 30, 2025, it has added to its position almost week after week, reaching 6 million coins in 15 months. This is a listed company treasury buying circulating supply, not a sudden chain-level surge in fundamentals. For the short-term implications of $ETH , there’s only one takeaway: selling pressure is partially locked up by institutions, but whether the current price can move depends on whether it can break through the 2600–2700 range. If it can’t break “big pie” at 83,000, the market cannot be lifted in the overnight session by treasury news alone. Not investment advice.
