But the market never follows your script just because you’re confident.
Once, I correctly picked the direction of a coin and entered full of confidence. At first, the price action really matched my expectations—unrealized profit kept growing. Back then, I even started fantasizing about the profits to come. Then, not long after, the market suddenly reversed, and the gains were gradually given back.
At that time, the biggest mistake was not being willing to accept that my judgment was off.
I kept thinking: “Just wait a bit—it will come back.”
In the end, small profit turned into loss, and small loss turned into a bigger one.$Q
Only after that did I truly understand: trading isn’t about fighting the market—it’s about battling your own emotions.
The difference between experts and ordinary people isn’t that experts are always right. It’s that they know when to admit they’re wrong. When the market gives an opportunity, they act decisively; when the logic changes, they exit in time. They don’t let face or emotions turn a trade into a gamble.
Now, when I watch the market, I prefer to wait for opportunities with certainty.
I check whether money has entered, whether key levels are being supported, and whether market sentiment is already overheated. If there’s no positional advantage, even if I miss it, I won’t force a trade.
Because the market has new opportunities every day, but your principal only has one life.
