TSMC is considering expanding its U.S. production footprint by building a second manufacturing site in Dallas, Texas, with as many as six advanced wafer fabs. According to ChainCatcher, the total investment for the new fabs could exceed the $265 billion TSMC has already pledged for its Arizona campus. TSMC has not issued an official response to the report.
