BTC turning green half-heartedly, ETH turning red seriously: $9 billion in voting

A one-sentence read on the midday chart: BTC is pretending to be dead, while ETH is getting work done.

BTC’s current price is 83,165.8, down 0.364%, with trading volume of $11.6 billion, down only slightly—so small it feels like even the main players are taking a midday break. But don’t be fooled: price is still below the daily pivot at 83,642.63. The intraday high at 84,350 was never even touched, and the overhead selling pressure is real. The intraday low at 82,500.1 is sitting just under the daily buy level at 82,318.47—this support is thin as paper. We’ll see the verdict this afternoon.

Funding rate is 0.005428%—positive, but almost meaningless. Longs aren’t crowded, shorts aren’t pushing. Leverage is collectively lying flat. With this kind of funding structure, those shouting for a dump should take a breather, and those shouting for a pump should wait a bit.

The real show is in ETH. Current price 2,666.92, up 0.329%, and among the major coins it’s the only one turned red (back up). Even more telling is the volume: ETH’s trading value is $9.0 billion, while BTC is $11.6 billion—90 vs 116. Judge that ratio for yourself: funds vote with their feet, more honest than any chart-drawing master.

Did you see that morning wick? The low was 2,634, and it directly broke through the daily buy level at 2,641.03—then what happened? It snapped back. A textbook fake-fall that shakes out the timid. Now it’s above 2,666; first look at the intraday high at 2,720, then the daily sell level at 2,727.03. Only after reclaiming the 2,680.52 pivot point does ETH have the right to talk about an offensive move.

BNB as the downside example: down 1.884% to lead the whole market lower. Current price 757.38. Intraday low 753.72. The daily buy level at 751.98 is basically at the floor. The platform token premium is being re-priced by the market. If this line can’t be held, the next chapter won’t sound good.

And XRP shouldn’t pretend to be innocent either: down 0.782%. Current price 1.4848. This morning’s low at 1.4642 also broke through the daily buy level at 1.47, then snapped back. There’s 1.53 overhead capping it—so don’t expect too much beauty from the rebound.

Bias: slightly bullish. The logic is simple—BTC is pretending, the funding is clean, and ETH is going against the flow with $9 billion worth of real money turning back green/red up. The structure hasn’t broken; it’s just that the main players swapped costumes to get to work.

Remember the key levels: if BTC reclaims 83,642.63, then there’s something to watch—84,785.17. If it drops and misses 82,318.47, talking about risk is not too late. For ETH, hold 2,641.03—then watch 2,727.03 above.

A retail trader’s mantra for you: when it’s green, look at who’s buying; when it’s red, look at who’s pretending. Today, ETH is the one that isn’t pretending.
