Correction: Yesterday I said that $HYPE would unlock about 9.92 million HYPE tokens at 7:00 AM Beijing time on 9/29, but that date is wrong.
According to Tokenomist’s calendar, HYPE’s next unlock is on October 6, releasing to core contributors. The one in September was already unlocked on September 6.
DefiLlama’s records are the same: the most recent unlock was on September 6, and there is no unlock event today.
So this morning there is no such thing as a “post-unlock follow-through.” HYPE has been fluctuating between $87 and $92 these past two days, and it has nothing to do with the unlock.
Also, the HYPE entry in yesterday’s “this week’s unlock calendar” should be invalidated as well.
Going forward, when I write about unlocks, I will first match the calendars on both Tokenomist and DefiLlama; only then will I post.
