$XAU Futures contracts for soybeans fall after being excluded from the US-China agreement
Chicago Mercantile Exchange soybean futures fell on Monday, after soybeans were removed from tariff reductions announced following last week’s summit between President Donald Trump and President Xi Jinping.
China and the United States agreed to cut tariffs on $60,000,000,000 worth of goods imported from each other. The deal includes products such as American corn and Chinese household appliances.
The list of tariff cuts, issued jointly by China’s Ministry of Commerce and the White House on Monday, included multiple U.S. agricultural products such as soybean oil and soybean meal.
