Lido's 1,500 ETH deposit reserve could lengthen stETH withdrawal finalization when withdrawals and validator deposits compete for limited buffer ETH. According to NS3.AI, a model found that the target raises average finalization time from 2.3 to 2.6 days in normal conditions.

Under high stress, the modeled average rises from 6.3 to 7.9 days. The committee proposes setting the target to zero until the planned 0x02 CSM launch, then possibly restoring it based on operator demand.
