The first thing you should do if you want to make money trading contracts is to quit it—greed. People who are constantly chasing narrow stop-losses and high take-profit ratios usually end up with only one result: either they stop out, or they make a profit but don’t exit and instead want more, leading to another stop out. The contracts market is a market focused on the present and on probabilities—not a place where you can just casually hit the jackpot. Before the probability plays out, acting rashly often means you take on risk; after the probability plays out, if you don’t focus on taking profits now but instead want to be even greedier, you often end up losing it all and turning a profit into a loss.
