📰 CZ cleared up several controversies at once this time: FTX wasn’t brought down by a single tweet of his, and during the process of receiving a presidential pardon, he also never had contact with Trump himself.
🔥 Regarding FTX, the timeline he gave was very straightforward. When Binance exited its equity stake in FTX, it recovered roughly $2.1 billion in cash-equivalent value, BUSD, and FTT; several days before he posted the tweet, the media had already reported that FTX might be insolvent. The real issue was that FTX misappropriated billions of dollars in customers’ funds. Honestly, if a company can be punctured by a rival’s tweet, the hole would have been there already.
⚠️ He also addressed imprisonment and the pardon. CZ was sentenced to four months for violating the Bank Secrecy Act, and in 2025 he received a pardon from President Trump, but he said he had no contact with Trump throughout the entire process. What worried him most in prison wasn’t the four months themselves, but the fear that additional charges would be added endlessly and that he could be held indefinitely.

💡 After stepping away from the front line, he became more open to competition. CZ believes that, based on net-asset investment, the penetration rate is still below 1%, so DEXs like Hyperliquid aren’t enemies that must be destroyed—what everyone should do now is grow the market. He has also put more effort into education; Giggle Academy has reached about 1.3 million children.
🤔 In this response, which part do you agree with most: the FTX timeline, the “no contact” during the pardon, or his assessment of competition with DEXs?
