Strategy Adds 1,665 BTC This Week—Does the $246M MSTR Fundraising Get Diverted Again?
The latest 8-K shows that Strategy increased its holdings by 1,665 BTC between 9/21 and 9/27, spending about $142.7 million, with an average cost of $85,681.
It currently holds 847,666 BTC, with a total cost of about $63.95 billion and an average cost of $75,437.
During the same period, it issued about 1.469 million shares of MSTR, raising $246.2 million. Of this, $142.7 million was used for BTC purchases and $103.5 million for STRC share buybacks. In addition, it tapped another $48.1 million in USD Cash; this week, the total STRC buyback amount reached $151.7 million.
As of 9/27, Strategy has approximately $5.02 billion in USD Reserve plus $1.0 billion in USD Cash.
In the prior week it added 950 BTC, and this week that figure rose to 1,665 BTC, while also restarting MSTR’s ATM fundraising.
