The source of this pullback that caused me to clear out the position is the heavy position sizing. The issue with the heavy position was related to $INJ , where I placed a take-profit at 8.77, but the highest it ever reached was only 8.692. And at 8.692, I also saw a possible reversal in the market—I didn’t exit while I was up more than 6,000 in floating profit, so I paid the price. So the lesson from this is: First, don’t size your positions too heavily—it’s not the first time this problem has happened. Second, focus on risk control. In a situation where you’ve already entered and then over-sized, if you notice the market might reverse, end this trade. You can’t do every trade—if this one is gone, you can place another order later. But if you lose your principal, that’s the end.
If it weren’t a heavy position, I actually wouldn’t need to clear out. I still remain bullish in the long term.
