NVIDIA announced that it has increased its share repurchase authorization by $150 billion, bringing the total amount of the repurchase program to $235 billion. The company expects to carry out the repurchase plan before fiscal year 2028.
NVIDIA also announced the launch of an open AI agent security platform, designed to cover security management for AI agents from testing to deployment. The platform includes open-source software OpenShell and a reference system design called Sentry. OpenShell is responsible for setting operating boundaries for AI agents, tracking actions, and enforcing security policies; Sentry continuously monitors agent behavior based on NVIDIA BlueField-4 DPU. If it detects out-of-bounds behavior, it can isolate and stop the agent within milliseconds. NVIDIA said that more than 100 institutions have already participated in related technology collaborations.
