The sector rotation index is more worth remembering than the index’s rise and fall

Don’t use last week’s interest-rate cut story to explain today’s market.

These macro points are at the current price level, not something from the past:

VIX 16.18 (5-day +13.86%)
Gold 4,186 (5-day -3.06%, Yahoo)
Crude oil 94.40 (5-day +2.43%, Yahoo)

So: Nasdaq 5-day +2.06% outperforms S&P +1.21%. Risk appetite is still in growth stocks—not a broad bull market. In crypto, follow the Nasdaq’s elasticity, not the Dow.

Crypto: BTC 83,082 (-2.04%), funding rate -0.0025% (8h, Binance USD-margined). ETH 24h -2.53% underperforms BTC -2.04%, with the exchange rate 0.03187. Funds are shrinking toward BTC; altcoins on the right side of the move—watch first.

In crypto, I’m only watching one thing: Can BTC close above the 24h high at 85,159? If it can’t, then chasing the rally is just talk.

My position: I’m not catching the first knife. Until the drawdown has converted into a reduction in holdings, the left side is still catching falling knives.

Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USD-margined / Yahoo daily (5-day change). Missing figures won’t be filled in.

If it pulls back to a level you’ll set a limit—do you place the order now, or wait for the close?

Supporting evidence: out there people are discussing “"bitcoin OR stock market OR 美股" - Google News”. I only use it as background—the conclusion still follows the numbers in the main text.

My personal view: the numbers come from the sources shown in the main text. This is not a trading instruction.
