One of the interesting features of bStocks is the ability to use individual tokenized assets as collateral in Binance margin products.
But recently, the terms have changed.
Previously, for bStocks as collateral, a VIP 3+ requirement applied. Now Binance has expanded access to all Cross Margin and Portfolio Margin accounts in permitted jurisdictions.
For VIP0–2, additional conditions may apply, including suitability assessment and other risk controls. For VIP3+, some of these restrictions do not apply.
Even more important: don’t assume:
$10,000 bStock = $10,000 available collateral.
Binance uses separate collateral ratios that depend on the specific asset and can change depending on market conditions.
That is:
bStock value × current collateral ratio = collateral value.
Also, bStocks can be used as collateral, but that does not mean you can borrow the bStock itself.
Before opening a margin position, you should check the current collateral ratio specifically for your token.
