Over the past few months, I’ve incurred consecutive losses from “hunting dogs,” my account has kept drawing down, and my mindset has undergone a transformation—from anxiety to calm.
When I look back on my trades during this period, the losses mainly stem from the following:
First, I misjudged the market tempo. In the midst of intense shakeouts or emotion-driven moves, I kept trying out different approaches, which led to repeated stop-outs.
Second, my position management was improper. When losses occurred, I failed to cut them in time. Instead, I held onto false hope or blindly increased my positions, which only made the losses larger.
Third, my mindset became unbalanced. After consecutive losses, I was desperate to get back to even quickly, causing my trading to become distorted and violating the original trading rules.
This round of losses made me realize deeply that trading is a long-distance race, and losses are part of it.
When facing an unpredictable market, you must accept a reasonable drawdown within the system, stay calm, strictly follow trading discipline, and patiently wait for opportunities with higher certainty.
Only now can I truly understand what it means that “slow is fast.”
And I also understand that on-chain, opportunities are never lacking—what’s missing is principal!
I hope that one day I’ll be able to turn things around in the crypto space. Wishing everyone can turn things around and get ashore as soon as possible—let’s keep going and encourage each other!
