The entities behind the Bitget exchange attack have reportedly moved about $83 million from the stolen XRP held in three custody wallets, while roughly $75 million remains in accounts that cannot be frozen under the network’s current rules. According to Sina Finance, nearly 103 million XRP were stolen from Bitget on Thursday and distributed across five accounts.
A review of XRP Ledger records shows that by Saturday at 12:41 UTC, two accounts that initially held 20 million XRP each had fallen to about 23 and 55 tokens, respectively. The balance of the third account dropped to approximately 5.8 million XRP.
Circle and Tether halted around $320,000 worth of stablecoins linked to the attack. XRP traded at about $1.54 on Saturday, down roughly 4% over the past 24 hours, but still up about 9% for the week, according to CoinGecko data.
