$🚀 My Long Strangle Strategy in Solana (SOL) Options & My Leg-Out Plan!
I opened a Long Strangle (buy both directions) strategy on the October 30 expiries, anticipating a period of sharp volatility in Solana. My current net situation and position management plan are as follows:
📊 Current Position Summary (Expiry: 30 October 2026):
* 🟢 SOL-261030-128-C (Call): Entry: $4.28 ➡️ Current: $6.07 (+%42.05)
* 🔴 SOL-261030-102-P (Put): Entry: $2.27 ➡️ Current: $1.41 (-%37.80)
* 💰 Net PnL: +%14.35 Profitable 🎯
🎯 My Game Plan (Staged Exit / Leg-Out):
1️⃣ Phase 1 (Upside Leg): I expect Solana to accelerate first in the upward direction. When the spot price reaches the $145–$148 range, I’ll sell the $128 Call option around $21.00 and lock the main profit.
2️⃣ Phase 2 (Correction & Put Management): After realizing the Call profit, if there’s a pullback, I’ll close the $102 Put option at the best possible price or around the break-even level to complete the strategy.
🤔 What do you think I should do?
* Will SOL see the $145+ levels before the end of October, without getting caught in too much time decay (Theta)?
* Is it sensible to take the Call profit and leave the Put as a lottery contract, or should I close both to lock in the net profit?
I’d love to hear your thoughts and your options experience in the comments! 👇
