Agricultural production has accumulated a volume growth of 4.19% year-to-date in 2026 compared with the previous year, as Acting President Delcy Rodríguez said in a public statement issued this Saturday, September 26.
Asked about the situation in the electricity sector, the president stated that a triggering factor behind the problem is higher demand resulting from economic growth so far this year.
«There is economic growth that is undeniable and, as I have said, it puts pressure on the electricity issue, as high temperatures do, the heat here is very intense in Caracas… let’s imagine other areas in the interior of the country,» she said.
The acting president led an inspection of works in Petare, where she said that the production of plant species and animal protein has grown in a sustained manner and, likewise, she considered the expansion of the fishing sector a positive development.
In this regard, one of the achievements that the current administration of the state highlights is the increase in food supply based on domestic production. Recently, the Minister of Productive Agriculture and Land, Vladimir Padrino, announced that domestic production covers the country’s total consumption of pork.
Rodríguez visited a water purification plant and inspected the operation of open-air markets in Petare.

In relation to her speech and diplomatic activity during the recent General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), the acting president said that she brought «the voice of the Venezuelan people» to that strategic international forum.

Anniversary of CEOFANB
For her part, the head of state, Delcy Rodríguez, marked the twenty-first anniversary of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB).
Rodríguez stated that the CEOFANB is the vanguard in the comprehensive protection of the nation and in safeguarding constitutional guarantees.
In her statement, she emphasized that the military forces remain deployed firmly to guarantee the general well-being and the political stability of the Venezuelan people.
