Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has published a new article, 《The cryptographic world computer》, proposing a deep evolution for Ethereum in the coming years.
His core idea:
Ethereum will not be only a ledger that records transactions, but will gradually become a global computing network that integrates computation, privacy, security, and decentralized components.
Future upgrade directions include:

By around 2030, Ethereum may shift from a “blockchain” to a “verifiable cryptographic computing platform.”
In simple terms:
BTC is more like digital gold,
ETH is more like cryptographic infrastructure for the future internet.
