Bond yields logged record-high levels worldwide this week, with Japanese 10-year bond yields reaching their highest level since 1996.

Despite the Bank of Japan raising interest rates to 1.25% this month, Japanese bond yields reached 3.08%.

Japanese and U.S. bond yields dipped slightly on Friday, but they remain near the highest levels reached this week.
