US stock technicals: look at position before direction

Today’s US stocks have no new narrative—only price movement.

Which sectors lead and which lag: judge by the percent change, not the story.

US 10-year Treasury 5.18% (5-day +4.45%)
Gold 4,321 (5-day -1.26%, Yahoo)
Nasdaq 27,069 (5-day +2.06%, Yahoo)

Conclusion: VIX is 14.87, with volatility being suppressed. At this kind of setup, US stocks can easily grind higher slowly. Don’t use US stock upside to leverage in crypto. Once VIX spikes, your contracts die first.

Funding: BTC 84,914 (+1.17%). ETH (last 24h) +0.69% is weaker than BTC (+1.17%), with the exchange rate at 0.03186. Funds are shrinking into BTC; observe before taking position on the right side of alts.

VIX is 14.87 now. If it breaks above 18, I’ll cut contract positions by half—I’m not going to argue with the US stock close price.

My position: only buy the pullback, never chase breakouts. If the structure hasn’t broken, you can keep the core position; adding must wait for a pullback level.

Personal view: numbers are from the sources in the main text. Not a trading instruction.
