Futures positions—first look at the structure, then we talk about direction
Before the price speaks, the leverage should shut up.
Futures only recognize three sets of numbers—everything else is noise.
1. BTC 84726, 24h 83838-85118, up/down +0.78%.
2. BTC open interest notional 8.02 billion dollars, 24h +0.74%
3. Long/short ratio for the whole account 1.22
My view: The large holders’ long/short ratio is 1.87, while the whole account is only 1.22. Large holders are more long-biased than retail traders. You can follow, but you can’t see their stop-loss—don’t go in fully loaded with your position size.
Execution zones (based on the current price ± the structure, not the old chart):
- Breakout zone: Only talk about chasing once it stands above 85,404; if it doesn’t, it’s a false breakout
- Pullback entry: 83,710-84,218; if it breaks below, don’t take it
- Abandon zone: If the 1h candle closes below 83,201, this trade isn’t done
My position: I only do pullback entries, not breakout-chasing. If the structure hasn’t broken, you can keep a core position; adding must wait for the pullback level.
