$ETH What exactly is Ethereum waiting for?

SOL is going up, yet ETH is still grinding around 2700.

If you already hold it, you’re impatient for it to move faster; but if you haven’t bought, you’re afraid it will suddenly catch up. This kind of market action is truly exhausting.

For now, let’s treat it as a weak rebound. The catch-up rally still needs more time.

Earlier, it tried to push through 2780—2800 twice but failed, then dropped sharply to 2640. Over the past two days it has climbed back to around 2710, but based on the volume you can see, the buy-side still hasn’t shown enough strength. Overhead resistance also hasn’t been reclaimed.

Many people think: “Everything else is rising—shouldn’t ETH be next?” But being late to the move can’t by itself support a long setup. The more anxious you get waiting, the easier it is to jump in too early.

Next, focus on 2720—2740. If it can’t get through this zone, the rebound will still be under pressure.

Wait for a volume-backed hold above 2740. Then we can see whether any pullback can be defended—only then does it make sense to look toward 2780.

First, wait for the rebound into the resistance area and check for signals of a high-and-fail move. Don’t rush to bet on direction while ETH is still in the middle of the 2700 range. If it holds 2740, and the outlook stays weak, then your bias needs to be adjusted.

On the downside, watch 2680—2690 first. If that breaks, there’s risk of a retest of the previous low near 2640.

Chasing and betting on a catch-up rally right now isn’t worth it.
