DyorSwap: The previously identified “GIWA mainnet” was actually a fake chain set up by scammers, and will be compensated to affected users with treasury funds
DyorSwap’s official announcement states that the so-called “GIWA mainnet” previously identified by the team is in fact a fake chain established by scammers. The fake network used the correct GIWA chain ID (9134), making it appear legitimate during the initial verification stage. The team also identified several suspicious messages and individuals within related communities, which may be connected to this incident. The announcement says that the fraudulent cross-chain bridge has caused significant losses.
DyorSwap says it is immediately taking three steps: (1) contact a professional security team to conduct further on-chain tracing and investigate the addresses involved, transactions, and fund flows; (2) preserve all relevant evidence, including chat logs, RPC information, cross-chain bridge addresses, and on-chain transactions; and (3) prepare to use treasury funds to compensate affected users. The qualification criteria, loss verification process, compensation scope, and detailed plan will be published after the investigation and verification are completed.
DyorSwap emphasizes that until further notice, users should not use any unofficial GIWA mainnet RPCs, cross-chain bridges, or contracts, and should not send funds to any related addresses. The official offers its sincere apologies to every user affected by this incident and says that subsequent updates will be released as soon as possible.
