I just took a look at the data—there’s something to it.

$QNT surged 82% in this move. I’ve never seen it rise so much in a single day. The price is $181, with $69 million in volume—nothing huge, but not small either. But with a move like this, if you tell me it’s driven by fundamentals, I don’t buy it. QNT is building crypto infrastructure, and recently I haven’t heard any major news. Even the GitHub updates have been pretty average. My personal take is that this is either a market maker doing a test run or some large players pumping it to distribute (sell) before getting out. If you chase this, you’ll most likely end up bag-holding. An 82% surge will eventually retrace—don’t touch it for short-term trading.

Next, take a look at $BTC : it’s been holding above 84,000, rising slightly by about 0.6%. The funding rate is 0.0036, which is relatively healthy, and there hasn’t been that kind of situation where the bulls are going absolutely crazy. Overall, the market looks okay right now—nothing major seems wrong.

Conclusion: Don’t chase QNT. This looks like a trap, not an opportunity. If you want to bottom-fish, wait for a pullback and then reassess.

What kind of capital do you think is behind this QNT rally?
