šŸ˜… Exchange hacked for 387 million, the market didn’t even bat an eye

Bitget’s hot wallet was taken down late on the 24th. The initial report was 350 million, but as it was dug further, it turned out to be 387 million. BTC, ETH, XRP, and USDT were all moved out. The blame was pinned on North Korea’s Lazarus—these folks have already stolen more than $1 billion this year, and it’s still ongoing. The most ā€œwildā€ part is that BGB is down less than 5%, while the broader market is up about 10% over the week—so altcoins are still rising when they should. The attacker dumped 19.7 million U in just 6 minutes to get 7,111 ETH, accepting a 5% premium. What they fear is getting funds frozen.
