The event brought together representatives from the financial, business, and energy sectors to discuss trends, challenges, and financing mechanisms that could drive the growth of key industries in Venezuela.

The activity featured the participation of well-known specialists, including Adriana Goncalves, Executive President of Merinvest Casa de Bolsa; Ricardo Concha, General Manager of Oil, Gas, Petrochemicals, and Mining at Mercantil Banco.

In addition, the directors of the Caracas Stock Exchange attended: Carlos Guruceaga, President of BNCI Casa de Bolsa, and Gonzalo Alonso, Executive President of Multiplica Casa de Bolsa. Also present were Juan Nutt, CEO of VEPICA; and Cristina Tovar, President of the Venezuelan Association of Hydrocarbons.

During the event, the panelists agreed that Venezuela is facing a moment of significant opportunities to attract investment into strategic sectors, especially the energy sector, whose expansion will require new sources of financing and greater coordination among companies, investors, and financial institutions.

Among the topics covered, the role of the securities market stood out as a mechanism for channeling resources to companies seeking to strengthen their operating capabilities and prepare for medium- and long-term growth scenarios.

They also discussed innovative financial alternatives, such as securitizing accounts receivable and factoring—instruments that can help expand access to financing for supplier companies in strategic sectors.

For Merinvest Casa de Bolsa, this type of initiative reflects the value of creating meeting spaces where different players in the financial and business ecosystem can come together, by fostering knowledge exchange, building strategic relationships, and identifying opportunities that contribute to the growth of Venezuela’s securities market.

In this way, the institution reaffirms its purpose of supporting clients, investors, and companies in the search for financial solutions that drive the sustainable development of their businesses, while also promoting conversations that help strengthen the depth, competitiveness, and dynamism of the capital markets in Venezuela.
