Put simply, SpaceX is not actually that lofty or grand. It’s nothing more than a few extremely ordinary—and also familiar—subsidiaries: a transportation company, a communications equipment company, a construction company, and a labor services company.
The business scope of these few subsidiaries differs from what ordinary people like us would typically understand, by just a tiny bit: the transportation company handles space launches, the communications equipment company handles Starlink connectivity, the construction company handles building AI infrastructure, and the labor services company handles providing computing power from AI to run large models.
Musk’s awesomeness lies in the fact that he even knows how to play the “old wine in a new bottle” strategy—and he takes it to a level, to a height, to that loneliness of “seeing everything at a glance, yet feeling isolated at the top.”
SpaceX teaches us that like Elon Musk—an ordinary person—can achieve great things, and that ordinary organizations like transportation companies can also create miracles. Since Musk has already done for us the things we wanted to accomplish, we don’t need to work so hard anymore. We just need to buy a bit of SpaceX stock and then lie back and relax 😝😃😍😋
