Odaily Planet Daily News: According to insiders, the Trump administration is considering launching an overseas stablecoin program, which may be implemented in a joint venture format with private enterprises. The U.S. Treasury, the State Council, and the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) may all be involved, with the aim of expanding the use of the U.S. dollar and supporting demand for U.S. Treasury bonds.

Tether’s latest reserve report shows that as of June 30, it directly held U.S. Treasury bonds of $114.96 billion. Total reserve assets were $187.75 billion, exceeding liabilities by $4.11 billion. The plan has not yet been established in cooperation with Tether, nor has it become an officially operating program.
