BTC funding rate pushed down to -0.00015%. For readings that cling so close to zero, I generally don’t treat it as a directional signal. It suggests longs aren’t very willing to pay the cost.
BTC 83,994; over the past 24 hours it only moved +0.03%. Derivatives trading volume was 3.178 billion. Open interest was 7.939 billion, down -0.86% over the past 24 hours—leverage is being quietly reduced, not increased.
From the order book, it doesn’t look cold. Out of 725 USDT perpetuals across the market, 443 are up—61.1%—but the funding still isn’t willing to pay a premium to support the broader market. Money is squeezed more toward both ends of the smaller coins: RARE +36.16% and QNT +25.35% each pulled up for a stretch. LYN long funding rate is +0.13529% but it still got hit with -28.95%. Meanwhile, the 2Z short funding rate is -0.31601% and yet it rose +20.29%.
The crowded side keeps getting washed repeatedly—this looks more like existing capital rotating between sectors, rather than new liquidity coming in from outside to lift overall valuation.
Do you think this move is driven by sentiment, or is there actually new capital entering?

The above is my order-book notes and personal view; it does not constitute any investment advice, nor does it promise any returns. Futures are traded with leverage—judge for yourself, and take responsibility for your own profits and losses.
