On June 7, the CMF confirmed that OrionX was operating without authorization and its users withdrew US$7 million with no possibility of making a claim. The rule is clear: only the exchanges listed in the CMF registry (https://www.cmfchile.cl) are covered by the regulations and may offer compensation mechanisms. Check the authorization number (RUT) before depositing, use the “Authorized Platforms” section, and save a screenshot.
