The NFT claims website for stolen NFTs by Yuga Labs has officially launched.
According to a BlockBeats report, on September 26, Yuga Labs blockchain vice president Quit said that users whose NFTs were affected by a Payment Processor vulnerability and had previously had their assets successfully preserved may now submit claims, but they must first revoke authorization to the Payment Processor. Based on available information, this time roughly $6 million worth of NFTs were successfully saved; however, some assets could not be preserved, and certain NFT collections are also currently not eligible for claims due to Transfer Validator restrictions.
Judging from the remediation actions, the launch of the entry point at least provides affected users with a clear path to take. It also helps stem the bleeding for blue-chip NFT communities such as BAYC. But from a risk perspective, the authorization vulnerability has not disappeared; holders still need to check and clean up high-risk authorizations first. For Yuga’s ecosystem, this is a step toward restoring trust. For holders, both loss recovery and authorization security may need to be monitored at the same time.
