How to handle short-term trading on futures today—let’s talk about the framework
For futures, I only look at crowding level, not group chat messages.
Futures only recognize three groups of numbers; everything else is noise.
1. BTC 83927, 24h 83183-84337, change +0.01%.
2. BTC open interest (nominal) 7.96 billion USD, 24h -0.70%
3. Total account long/short ratio 1.30
My take: the funding rate is -0.0006%, close to zero; the long/short ratio is 1.30—leverage hasn’t chosen a side. If leverage hasn’t chosen a side, don’t use high leverage to force it to choose.
Execution zones (based on current price ± the structure, not the old chart):
- Breakout zone: once it stands above 84,599, then we talk about chasing; if it hasn’t, it’s a fake breakout
- Pullback entry: 82,920-83,424; if it breaks below, don’t take the trade
- Abandon zone: if 1h closes below 82,417, we don’t do this setup
My position: waiting on the sidelines. Price hasn’t picked a side, and I haven’t paid the leverage cost—opening a position now is like doing work for the exchange.
Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDT-m / Yahoo daily candles (5-day change). Missing numbers aren’t filled in.
