🎭 FOMO trader OuterHeavyBat made $3.2 million in two days with MASK, a return of 318%—it’s the ride-money from a $47 million micro-pool

According to Lookonchain monitoring, in 48 hours, FOMO trader OuterHeavyBat profited more than $3.2 million via $MASK , for a return of 318%

First, see whose money he’s taking: Mask Network is an established social crypto token launched in February 2021. Its all-time high was $38.02; this year on May 25 it briefly sank to an all-time low of $0.26. Current price is about $0.46–$0.47. Market cap is only about $47 million, and 24-hour trading volume is roughly $4.74 million—typical micro-cap with thin liquidity

This week, it just ran another “roller coaster.” On September 19, the official account posted a teaser: "hotpot: pending, Monday: 👀". The market priced in big action for Monday. The coin pumped from around $0.42 to $0.5088, then surged and fell back to the $0.47 area; the 7-day gain shrank to about 5.9%.

318% in two days, while MASK’s daily swings are only single-digit percentages—this return must be amplified by high leverage. The counterparty behind the $3.2 million profit is, simply put, the retail orders chasing the “Monday announcement.”

There’s also a backdrop: on September 9, Consensys split and renamed the wallet business to MetaMask. The market has long been speculating that the MetaMask token will use the "MASK" ticker, and this wave of heat around old MASK includes expectations stemming from ticker confusion

My take: this isn’t a fundamental trade—it’s harvesting volatility in a low-liquidity pool. My response: don’t chase the 318% story. The $0.5088 zone has already been proven to be the peak priced by announcement expectations;

If you really want to participate, wait for two signals only: the official "hotpot" announcement actually landing (bullish confirmation), or the MetaMask token’s code being confirmed to have nothing to do with MASK (bearish clearing). For micro-caps, keep position size small, and don’t let margin exceed 5x.
